Olympian Laura Weightman’s training stint in Africa is now almost over, but it appears that she has been working with the best of British.
The Lesbury 22-year-old, who reached the final of the 1500m at London 2012, headed out to Kenya at the start of January for a five-week block of warm-weather, high-altitude training.
It forms part of her preparations for a big year ahead with the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the European Championships in Zurich.
Earlier this week, she revealed via her Facebook page that she had been training with marathon world record-holder Paula Radcliffe. Another champion who is training in Kenya with Laura is double Olympic and World gold medallist Mo Farah, who drew the ‘accurate map’, left, when he planned the route for a run.
