Formerly the TeesPride 10k, Brodie’s time of 30m:35s would have seen him take gold in previous years, but Middlesbrough’s Max Creasey beat him over the line by three seconds.

In the Mid-Cheshire 5k, Matthew Walton and Bertie Marr shone over the flat and rural course. Walton delivered a 14m:34s for 21st place, with U21 Marr coming home in 15m:51s f or 143rd.

And finally, top junior Hector Ford Hutchinson finished second overall and first U14 in a time of 9m:22s at the Junior Watergate race, held this year at Whitehills Park in Wrekenton.
