League joins the club and gets blighted by the awful weather

Having ‘survived’ two-thirds of the season without a postponement in a year bedevilled by bad weather, the league’s luck finally ran out last week with seven of the scheduled nine fixtures called off.

Only two games went ahead – Goswick v Dunstanburgh in Division A and Warkworth v Magdalene Fields in Division B.

Goswick beat Dunstanburgh, bidding to win the championship for the first time, 8-4 while Magdalene Fields edged home 7-5 at Warkworth.

All other fixtures are subject to re-arrangement.
