ALNWICK Working Men’s Club (AWMC) B won the Division B title in the Alnwick Premier Darts League.

They did it in style too, with a 7-0 victory against Alnwick Castle Golf Club A on Friday night, on what was the final round of league fixtures for the season.

It was also a one-sided affair in the second-tier clash between Shilbottle Club and Oddies A, with the Club taking the honours 6-1.

Things were closer in the two other Division B games, with Alnwick Castle Golf Club B and the Market Tavern picking up 4-3 wins over AWMC A – despite some great darts from Michael Oliver – and The Hotspur respectively.

Alnwick Gate A, who were already Division A champions going into the final round of league fixtures, capped their table-topping season in fine fashion, with a 7-0 victory over basement boys the Farriers.

Andrew Tate landed two 180s for the winners in the process.

Blue Bell A pipped their Bar rivals to runners-up spot by beating the John Bull 6-1, for whom Rob Knox scored his third 180 of the campaign.

It meant that Bell Bar B had to settle for a third-place finish, despite a 4-3 win against The George.

TeamDinga@GateB turned in a good performance to win 5-2 against Oddies B with Sean Turner hitting his second 180 of the season for the defeated side.
