An Alnwick endurance rider has, once again, been selected to represent England in the Home International Endurance competition.
The prestigious competition takes place at Barbury Castle in Wiltshire on August 17 and 18.
Katherine Edridge and her horse, The Bolero Kid, were part of the wining England squad last year, when the competition was held in Co. Wicklow, Ireland.
Katherine and The Bolero Kid, nicknamed Aero, began competitive long distance riding in 2010, and qualified to advanced status last year, enjoying many successes along the way.
Katherine and Aero recently won the 40km class at their local event held at Titlington on July 7, and Katherine is looking forward to continuing their run of good form at one of the biggest events of the racing calendar. “I am very much looking forward to competing at the Home International.
It is such an honour to be selected to ride for your country, and I am thrilled to be part of the England squad for the second year running.
“Aero has been in good form this season, finishing all of his rides successfully,” she said.
