Hospice reaps rewards from annual Druridge run

A NEW charity has been announced to benefit from this year’s Druridge Bay 10k.

HospiceCare North Northumberland will be reaping the rewards from the event.

The charity, which has facilities in Alnwick and Berwick, is the main provider of palliative care throughout north Northumberland.

Druridge Bay 10K chairman, Stan Hurst, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting such a worthy charity, right on our doorstep.

“I have no doubt that the community will once again get behind the Druridge Bay 10K and help us raise the vital funds needed to help those living with life-limiting illness and supporting their familes and carers.

“In the past five years our participants have raised in excess of £100,000 and we are eager to carry on their good work with this, our sixth 10K race.”
