Twelve Alnwick Harriers took part in what is generally considered one of the fastest 10k races in the North East, the Blyth Valley 10k, on Sunday.

Thanks to some hard work during the winter there were some great performances by Alnwick runners, including a number of 10k pbs.

First Harrier to finish in a pb was Graham Simpson, who was followed by Stuart Morris.

Next to finish and first female Harrier on her debut was Laura Stubbings in a superb 43.25.

There were also pbs for Phil Baston, Micky Aiston and Shelley Coates.
