Five Alnwick Harriers took part in the Druridge Bay Parkrun on Saturday, including one of the event’s directors Jackie Prouse, who was first female to finish.
Among the others taking part, Karl Baxter once again knocked a huge chunk off his 5k pb, this time clocking 26.20.
Meanwhile, over at the Workington Parkrun, Gay Eastoe won the female 60 category.

Later on that day, two Harriers took part in the Elswick Harriers-organised Norman Woodcock Memorial Race at Newcastle Racecourse.
Peter Grey made his first appearance in a race further than 5k for ages and performed well, finishing third in the male 50 category. Dave Coates also took part.
Results: 66-Peter Grey 31.25, 124-Dave Coates 37.55.
The following day, two Harriers took part in the Blyth Sands Five-Mile Handicap Race, including Mark Hume who was celebrating his 70th birthday.
Results: 77-Dave Bartrum 42.26 (handicap time 39.46); 142-Mark Hume 1.01.43 (handicap time 50.43).
For the first time in many a year, Alnwick Harriers have entered teams into the North East Cross Country Championships.
Eight women and seven men will be taking part and, no doubt, a number of Juniors will be entered by the Junior section.
The fixture takes place on Saturday at Newcastle Town Moor and is hosted by Tyne Bridge Harriers.
The Seniors taking part are Micky Aiston, Paul Dellbridge, Mark Doctor, Dave Hindmarsh, Steve Patterson, John Ross, Andy Squires, Rachel Bowyer, Ella Brown, Ruth Doctor, Jo Gascoigne-Owens, Eileen Guthrie, Alex Reed, Tracey Sample and Diana Weightman.
Please note that club vests must be worn or the organisers may disqualify runners.
