Goswick march ahead after win

WEEK eight in the North Northumberland Junior Golf League saw Goswick maintain their lead at the top with a home win against Warkworth to open up a gap of eight points over Rothbury, who had to abandon their match away to Linden Hall due to some heavy rain which left the course underwater halfway round.

Rothbury and Linden do have games in hand over the leaders and things could change very quickly over the remaining fixtures.

Meanwhile, in the other matches Alnmouth (Foxton) shared the points at home to Alnwick Castle and Magdalene Fields managed a fine win away at Percy Wood. Bamburgh were unable to field a team away to Seahouses giving the home team the full points.
