A disabled horse rider from Seahouses has been crowned champion of her sport at a national competition.
Gayle Bloomfield, riding horse Bartie, came top at the RDA National Championships at Hartpury in Gloucestershire.
Gayle, a former air hostess and riding instructor, also took two individual dressage awards at the championships.
She had thought she would never ride again after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis – but she was persuaded to keep going, and has since won a string of top competitions.
Gayle was one of nine riders from the Pegasus Centre for disabled riders, based at Tranwell near Morpeth, to take part in the competition.
