Cullercoats...0 Amble Utd...8

Pin Point Recruitment Northern Alliance, Division One

AMBLE travelled to Cullercoats to play their first game of the new year, hoping to keep their unbeaten run in the league.

They started the brightest and went three up in the first 10 minutes with two very good strikes in the third minute and the sixth minute by Adam Shanks and a third in the eighth minute with a good move and shot by Brad Wake (0-3).

The visitors went four up in the 34th minute when, after another very good move, Sean Taylor was there to fire home from close range.

In the 40th minute, Amble went five up when Adam Shanks fired home another good shot for his hat-trick and make the score at half-time 5-0 to Amble.

After the interval, Amble went six up in the 47th minute after some good play by Sean Taylor, who passed a good ball through for Ross Gair to fire home.

Cullercoats never gave up and a very good shot by Sean Smith rattled the crossbar.

However, Amble went further ahead in the 48th minute when Adam Shanks fired home for his fourth (0-7).

Andrew Patterson, in the Amble goal, was having very little to do. They completed the scoring in the 72nd minute when Sean Taylor fired home for his second (0-8).

A very good, all-round performance from Amble and they stay top of the league.
