AMBLE took the lead in the sixth minute when a good run up the right and cross by Adam Shanks allowed Brent Aisbitt to volley home.

Amble went two up in the 28th minute after another good run up the right, this time by Brent Aisbitt, who crossed for Adam Shanks to fire home.

Amble soon added another two goals. In the 32nd minute, Shanks got his second and Aisbitt scored his second in the 35th minute. This made the score 4-0 to Amble at half-time.

After the interval, Amble scored again in the 57th minute after some good approach play down the right by Greg Dance. He crossed for Darren Riddell to fire home his shot.

Amble kept up the pressure on the visitors’ defence and went six up in the 67th minute following a good run down the left by Aisbitt who crossed for Ricki Hume to fire home.

Wallsend got a consolation goal in the 72nd minute when some good work by James Mills who found the bottom left hand corner of the net with his shot.

However, Amble scored again in the 90th minute when Hume made a good run down the right and fired his shot into the bottom left-hand corner of the net for his second.

This made the final score 7-1 to Amble and took them top of the league in the Subsidiary Cup after another very good all-round team performance.
