Town U11s hit double figures to stay second

U11 La Liga One

Alnwick Town 10

Heaton Hawks Kestrels 0

Alnwick ran out very comfortable winners against bottom-of-the-table Heaton on a bright sunny day in the town.

Early goals from Max Paige and Owen Johnson put Alnwick in a commanding position after only 10 minutes, before a lovely sweeping moving on the right was finished off with a curling shot by Nathan Crombie.

The half ended 4-0 to Alnwick when Joe Ainsley fired in from close range.

Heaton tried to fight back early in the second half but the impressive Elliott Wass and Harry Felton kept the visitors at bay.

Alnwick started where they had left off with more goals from Tom Forster, Connor Radden, Joe Ainsley and topped off with a fine hat-trick from new signing Alex Senior.

The result keeps Alnwick second in the table and keeps up the title ambitions for now.
