YOUNG footballers showed off their skills at an October half-term, Hallowe’en-inspired soccer camp.
Trident Soccer hosted the event, which was held at Hipsburn First School and catered for boys and girls aged from Reception Year to Year 8.
It comprised skills coaching, team shape, defending, small-sided games, attacking play and penalty shoot-outs.
FA coach Ryan Jobson said: “The children had a great time and were able to apply various technical skills into game-play situations.
“We’ve had a fantastic time working with the players on a daily basis. I’d like to once again thank parents and children for their involvement and support at this event.”
The player-of-the-course award was given to Year 6 lad William Knox.
Ryan added: “We’ve coached William since Reception Year and he’s worked extremely hard to develop his game.”
Trident Soccer’s winter coaching programme resumes at Alnwick’s Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre on Monday between 5pm and 6pm.
Group One includes Reception to Year 4 youngsters while Group Two caters for Year 5 to Year 8 players.
