MORE than 24 boys and girls attended a Trident Soccer summer holiday camp held at Hipsburn First School.
The coaching course catered for children aged from Reception Year to Year 8 and comprised skills-coaching, team shape, defending, attacking play, penalty shoot-outs and small side games.
FA referee Richard Kelley officiated over proceedings and the match games enabled children to put into practice skills and techniques learnt during the four-day course.
FA coach Ryan Jobson said: “This camp was a huge success and the children benefited enormously as they were able to apply various technical skills to game play situations.
“Working with the players on a daily basis has helped develop their skills and understanding of the game.
“I’d like to once again thank Hipsburn First School, parents and children for their involvement and support at the course,” he said.
Player-of-the-course was awarded to Greggor Batley.
