Poppy Pritchard from Stannington in Northumberland has managed to secure player sponsorship through local company Matthew Hogg Ltd.
A spokesman for the company said: "Murray Hogg Ltd, are very proud and honoured to sponsor such a talented local girl Poppy Pritchard. We would like to wish Poppy and her team members a very successful season"
The new scheme, piloted for the 2019-2020 season, is aimed at players marketing themselves as well as playing.
