Shilbottle found themselves facing the third different current league leaders in consecutive games, and having beaten them all now find themselves at the top of the table.

The Colliers opened brightly and took the lead after only eight minutes play when a good ball into the box from Scott McMullen was headed on by Liam Brooks for Josh Hay to finish smartly. The visiting keeper then made a cracking save from a Hay header before the Colliers increased their advantage on the half hour. A good through ball from Scott McMullen saw Liam Brooks collect the ball and round the keeper to put his side two up.

Brooks made it three just before the break with a cracking drive from a Hay knock on that went in off a post.

Shilbottle extended their lead shortly after the restart when Hay was brought down in the box by the Cramlington keeper and Brooks confidently despatched the resultant penalty to complete his hat-trick.

Hay then struck a post and Cramlington had a man sent off before Hay got his second goal and the Colliers fifth on 75 minutes following good work from Richard Brown down the left flank. The scoring was completed five minutes from time through Ryan Douglas.
