Whitley Bay A hit-man Michael Fenwick left Hebburn Reyrolle’s defence in tatters as he fired the Seahorses into round two with a hat-trick.

Michael Clement and Graham Carter got the others, with Bede Finnegan and Stephen Cockburn replying.

Wallington’s defence of the trophy came unstuck at the first hurdle as goals from Rutherford’s Andy Davidson (2), Zak Atkinson and Dean McCallum sent them crashing out. Adam Whitehead pulled one back.

Scott Jasper struck twice as North Shields Athletic went through at Seaton Delaval. Sean Milligan got the other with Karl Nealings Lazzari and Matthew Bailey crashing in at the other end and Walker Central’s Stephen Hurd also bagged a brace in their narrow win at Shankhouse. Phil McCoy got Central off to a great start, but ‘Hoose turned things around with an own goal and a Kevin Gustard shot.

Stephen Howes and Malcolm Morien were two other targetmen that grabbed doubles in Blyth Town’s success at Ashington Colliers while Adam Clarke and Rikki-Lee James were Northbank’s scorers against Whickham SC, who pulled one back through Joe Bell in the dying minutes.

Marc Shiel, James Earl and Ryan Errington were Carlisle City’s marksmen at Red House Farm in a devastating opening period. The Farm pulled one back through Martin Soulsby back couldn’t make their second half pressure tell.


Leaders Percy Main smashed eight past Newcastle Uni to stay on top. Gareth Armstrong, James Leggett and Sam Thompson all struck twice with Chris Laidlaw and Steven Hart getting the others. Aaron McElvogue grabbed a consolation.

Wallsend Boys Club’s Keiran Dewhirst crashed in a hat-trick as they hit Hexham for six. Harvey Lockwood, Nicky Whitelaw and Carl Morrison netted the others – James Owen replying.

iam Anderson’s opener for Ponteland United was soon cancelled out by Cramlington Town’s Robbie Eastway and Che Aisbitt’s late winner gave Blyth Isabella the points against Birtley St. Josephs.

David Scott (2), Josh Monaghan (2) and Adrian Watson were on the scoresheet for Bedlington Terriers Reserves as they beat New Fordley and a four-goal blast from Michael Hoganson gave Heddon three points against Bohs.

Francis Storey added the other with Iain Harris and Ben Asquith hitting replies. Brent Aisbitt netted a hat-trick for AFC Newbiggin as they came from behind twice to beat Newcastle Chemfica, whose scorers where Steve McLaughlin and Dan Sherliker.


Cramlington United blasted themselves off the foot of the table with goals from Niall Younger (2), Nathan Hewitt, Andrew Heads and Martin Kelly in a thrilling 5-3 win over Gateshead Leam Lane Rangers.

Connor Graham’s treble saw Longbenton to victory over Forest Hall, who had Craig Harley on target, while High Howdon’s Chris Chan netted the only goal at Seaton Burn.

West Allotment Celtic Reserves led leaders Shilbottle CW 2-0 through an own goal and a Ben Jackson effort, but the Colliers hit back to win it with Josh Hay grabbing a double and Liam Brooks the other.

Grant Starling shot Willington Quay Saints in front against Grainger Park, who levelled late on through Tony Leach and Johnny Storey’s double gave Lindisfarne CP the points against Swalwell.

Both sides put the ball in their own net as Whitburn won at Alnwick Town Reserves.

Andy Smith and Ross Macauley got the others for the visitors and Wideopen crashed out of the Northumberland FA Minor Cup at West Jesmond, Ashley Robinson’s second half strike proving not enough as the hosts struck twice before the break.
