Shilbottle hit-man Josh Hay hit his third hat-trick in as many weeks as the Colliers crashed in nine times against Cramlington United, but there were defeats for Alnwick Town Reserves and Wooler.

Hay’s three-goal haul helped the Colliers to a convincing win in the Bay Plastics Second Division. His strike partner Matty Graham also grabbed a treble, with Phil Grey hitting two and Liam Brooks completing the rout. Nathan Hewitt grabbed the lone reply.

Shilbottle trail leaders Gateshead Leam Rangers by four points with two games in hand after the table toppers’ Thomas Basley netted the only goal at Lindisfarne Custom Planet.

Joe Wallace struck twice as West Allotment Celtic A hit Alnwick Town Reserves for six. Ben Jackson, Matthew Slater, Dan Surley and Sean Allen added the others. Ross Moore chalked up Town’s consolation.

Connor Graham struck twice and Ben Robson added the other in Longbenton’s victory over Wallsend Labour Club, who had Chris Chan on the scoresheet twice with penalties, and Andy Gowing, Steven Thompson and Steve Matthew slammed home for Grainger Park at Whitburn Athletic, with Dan Nolan and Jon Doyle replying.

Ryan Ferriers’ strike for Willington Quay Saints proved the difference against Seaton Burn and Jack Gourley, Tim Lanb and Andy Thomson netted in Forest Hall’s success at Wideopen.

Carlisle City piled the agony on relegated Hebburn Reyrolle with a ten-goal blitz. Marc Shiel hit a hat-trick with Craig Cherry and Kyle Armstrong both claiming doubles and Chris Major, Rob McCartney and Ryan Errington adding the others in a demolition job with the Cumbrians chasing the runners-up spot. John Murray hit a consolation.

Kyle Dobson hit the only goal for Ashington Colliers in their success at Whickham Sporting and David Brotherwick’s double – including an 89th-minute penalty – turned things around for Seaton Delaval as they hit back after Rikki Lee James’ opener for Northbank.
