Alnmouth continued their unbeaten run in Division One of the Sportsworld North Northumberland League with a comprehensive win over Tweedmouth on Saturday. They led by two goals at half-time and netted three more before Craig Howard netted a consolation goal from the penalty-spot in the 80th minute. Goal-scorers for Alnmouth were Jordan Frost (two), Peter Murray (two) and Andrew Murray.
Lowick Utd 4 Rothbury 1
Lowick moved back into second place in the first division after a strong first-half performance saw them four ahead at the break, thanks to goals from Andy Metcalfe, Charlie Wharcup, Marco Lambert and Steven Drummond. Play was fairly even after the interval, with Rothbury pulling a goal back through Chris Coe.
North Sunderland 3 Highfields Utd 0
After a competitive first half, the home team led at half-time thanks to goals from Robert Scott and Ross Stanton. The second half was again fairly even but the home team netted a third goal after Robert Scott scored his second of the game.
Amble St Cuthbert 8 Alnmouth 0
Hat-tricks from Joe Henderson and Reece Ramsay, plus two goals from Liam Ramsay, saw Amble keep up the pressure at the head of the table with this convincing win over Alnmouth.
Craster Rovers 6 Wooler Res 2
A good performance from Craster keeps them in touch at the head of the second division table after this win over Wooler. They led by the odd goal of three at half-time and completed the win, netting four during the second half. Danny Lillico two, David Baker, Phil Grey, Regan Turnbull and James Woollet were the Craster scorers, with Jack Strangeways scoring twice for Wooler.
Tweedmouth Harrow 1 Belford 3
Terry James had given Harrow a half-time lead but Belford came back after half-time to score three times through Neil Jefferson, Ross Moore and Archie Little to give them the win which keeps them on top of Division Two.
Lynemouth 3 Springhill 4
A 30-yard free-kick from Nick Storey and a Gareth Lewins goal for Lynemouth gave them the lead during the first half with David Jardine on target for Springhill. During the second half, David Jardine completed his hat-trick, with Nick Storey scoring his second for Lynemouth. But, with two minutes remaining, sloppy defending from the home team saw Colin Young grab the winner for Springhill.
Eglingham FC 3 Embleton WR 4
Adam Pringle and Chris Chisholm both scored twice for Embleton, while Tristan Oliver, Shaun Angus and Jordan Beattie were on target for Eglingham.
