Here are the latest rumours surrounding Newcastle United:
Wilfried Zaha tipped for shock Newcastle move
Former striker Marcus Bent says Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha should join Newcastle.
Zaha is frequently linked with a move away from Selhurst Park, so speculation surrounding his future comes as no surprise.
However, what does is Bent claiming Newcastle “would be a great team to go to”, despite him previously attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham.
He told This Is Futbol: “Zaha has not been that consistent this year, but we know he’s a talent.
"We spoke about him going to Everton, two years ago Everton would have snapped at the chance, but I don’t think he’s a player they want.
“Newcastle would be a great team to go to. He needs a bigger pedestal to play on and better players around him.”
Alan Pardew said he tried to sign the 28-year-old from Manchester United when in charge of the Magpies.
Jose Mourinho eyes Allan Saint-Maximin – reports
Jose Mourinho is considering a £40million swoop for Allan Saint-Maximin next season when he takes charge of Roma.
That’s according to Corriera della Sera with the Frenchman earmarked as one of Mourinho’s first signings in Italy.
Roma reportedly held talks with the 24-year-old two years ago before he moved to Tyneside in a £16.5m deal.
Mourinho has admitted in the past he is a fan of Saint-Maximin. In 2019, he said: “If I speak (about players) I think that their agents will be very happy. But I like Saint-Maximin, I like his speed.”
Leicester close to signing Toon target
Leicester City are closing on the £20m signing of Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.
As per the Daily Mail, the 22-year-old is poised to move to the King Power Stadium in a cut-price deal following the financial impact of Covid-19.
United agreed a £35m fee with the Ligue 1 side in January 2020 but the player subsequently turned down a move to St James’s Park.
However, Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes are set to lure Soumare to the Premier League with the pull of Champions League football and close friend Wesley Fofana.
