Steve Bruce is hoping to bolster his squad this summer, whether that be signing players on loan, permanently or free agents.

Here are the latest transfer rumours surrounding the Magpies:

Brandon Williams back on Newcastle’s radar

Brandon Williams is set to leave Manchester United on loan this summer – and Newcastle reportedly remain keen on signing the full-back.

The Magpies and Southampton were among the clubs to enquire about taking the 20-year-old on loan in January but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to keep him as cover.

However, reports suggest Williams will be granted a temporary season-long exit from Old Trafford in the coming months, with talkSPORT’s Alex Crook claiming the player is once again being considered by United and the Saints.

Williams played just 187 minutes of Premier League football last season after falling behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw in the pecking order.

Magpies keen on free agent Andre Ayew

Newcastle have registered their interest in free agent forward Andre Ayew, according to reports in Ghana.

The 31-year-old is without a club after running down his contract at Swansea City, where he netted 17 goals as the Welsh club reached the Championship play-off final last month.

United are reportedly willing to strike an agreement with the former West Ham and Marseille man, who is also attracting interest from Leeds and Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

William Saliba and Joe Willock ‘update’ at Arsenal

Arsenal have told Newcastle they will sanction a loan exit for William Saliba if they sign Ben White from Brighton and Hove Albion, Football Insider reports.

The £27million defender is a loan target for Steve Bruce as he looks to add a new face to his backline, which shipped 62 goals last term.

But a move for the 20-year-old could all depend on the Gunners’ success in landing White as they prepare a fresh bid for the England international.

The website also states that Mikel Arteta is open to offloading Joe Willock permanently. The North London club are looking to sell some fringe stars to help seal the White deal.
