Magnificent seven for Town reserves

There were wins last night in the Northern Alliance for Amble United, Wallington and a 7-0 victory for Alnwick Town Reserves.

In the Premier Division, Amble United’s 2-1 win at Whitley Bay A means they stay in the hunt for the title.

However, top side Heaton Stannington are three points ahead with two games in hand, while Blyth Town, in third, are six points behind with three in hand.

In Division One, Wallington won 2-0 at home against Heddon cementing a nine-point lead at the top of the table.

Ponteland United and lowly Morpeth Town shared a 3-3 draw, while Wooler were involved in the same scoreline in Division Two, at Grainger Park B, which keeps them in the promotion hunt.

Mid-table Alnwick Town Reserves went goal crazy, thrashing Alston 7-0.
