Lucy Bronze has been named in the starting line-up for England’s World Cup qualifying match against Montenegro this afternoon.
The 22-year-old, from Alnwick, partners newly-named captain Stephanie Houghton in the heart of the defence.
The game, at Brighton and Hove Albion’s Amex Stadium, started at 12.55pm.
Liverpool Ladies star Bronze has been a regular for England in the nation’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
The Three Lions are top of Group 6, having won all four of their matches. Montenegro meanwhile are bottom, without a point to their name.
Last night, Wales beat Turkey 5-1, to see them second in Group 6.
The 2015 Fifa World Cup takes place in Canada, from June 6, to July 5.
