TRIDENT Soccer hosted an Easter football coaching camp at Hipsburn First School, catering for 20 children aged from Reception to Year Eight.
It comprised skills coaching, goalkeeping, team shape, defending, small-sided games, attacking play and penalty shoot-outs and enabled local youngsters to put into practise skills and techniques learnt during the four-day course, according to FA coach Josh Rutherford.
He said: “The children had a great time and were able to apply various technical skills into game-play situations.
“Working with the players on a daily basis has helped to develop their skill and understanding of the game.
“On behalf of Trident Soccer, I’d like to thank all the parents and children for their involvement and support at the Easter camp.”
Player-of-the-course was awarded to five-year-old Keiron Straker.
The Amble youngster has been coached by Trident Soccer since he was three-years-old and has developed great skills and technique, according to Josh.
The next summer holiday camp will be held at Hipsburn during the summer half-term.
