Junior tournament
On a very hot bank holiday Sunday North Sunderland FC and the Stephen Carey Fund welcomed 16 junior football teams to Seafield Park to take part in a youth tournament.
All games were played in great spirit and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day. At the end of the tournament ex-Newcastle United football player and Blyth Spartans manager Lee Clark came to hand out medals and trophies.
The winners on the day were: U9s – Team Gosforth Ajax and Berwick Lions; U10s -Willington Key Saints and Alnwick Town.
