BERWICK Rangers are set to scour north Northumberland, the Borders and Lothians in search of promising young football talent for the coming season.
Trials are being held at three venues, at Shielfield Park, Berwick, on Monday, May 23, Yarrow Park, Selkirk on Wednesday, May 25, and at Meadowmill Sports Complex, Tranent on Wednesday, June 1. All three events will be in the evening, from 6.30pm.
Berwick will be running an U19s side in the Scottish Football League from August, and players must be born on or after January 1, 1993, to be eligible. Training currently takes place in Berwick.
Having completed a successful first season back in the East of Scotland League, Berwick Rangers would like to recruit more U21 players to their Reserve side. With Aaron Ponton and Kristian Neil having turned out for the first team this season, the club would really like to see more local talent aiming for senior football. Training is located in Tranent.
Any interested players should follow the link on the club website at www.berwickrangers.net to complete an application form for their chosen venue.
