Lowick entertained visitors from Middlesbrough on Sunday in blustery and freezing conditions.
Lowick produced their best performance of 2013, dominating the opposition and taking their scoring opportunities.
The return of Michelle Stewart to the team gave them the cutting edge that had been missing for some time and, with Kirstie Tang and Jenny Patterson pulling the strings in midfield, several scoring opportunities were created.
The breakthrough came after 20 minutes when Stewart was released on the right. She beat her marker and drove a low shot into the corner of the goal.
This opener was quickly followed by goals from Patterson, Jodine Bolton (penalty) and a 30-yard shot from Tang to give Lowick a commanding 4-0 lead at half-time.
The visitors had the wind at their backs in the second half, but, apart from a speculative shot from the kick-off, Mel Darling in the Lowick goal was a spectator for most of the match.
Lowick continued to retain possession and good interplay created several more scoring opportunities, with Anna Darcy being unfortunate not to score on more than one occasion.
With 10 minutes to go, Stewart rounded off the scoring with another well-taken goal as Lowick climbed to third place in the league.
