Cobras stroll it at Walker

Walker U9...0 Alnwick Town Cobras U9...3

NMSL U9 Premiership B

COBRAS travelled to Walker on Sunday.

They started well playing some good passing football with Walker’s keeper pulling off some great saves.

Cobras got their first goal when Archie Smith made a good run and played through to Jay McEwan who slotted the ball past the keeper (0-1).

Cobras got their second with a great passing move down the right for M McKenley to slip in K Atkinson to score (0-2).

Walker continued to battle and the game was starting to get physical, but Cobras proved that they were up for it.

They grabbed their third, McKenley made a great run, slipped the ball past the keeper for the defender to slide the ball over the line for an own-goal (0-3).

Cobras coped well with a physical Walker side on a small, overgrown pitch.

Managers K Smith and D Middleton were happy with the passing, commitment and attitude of the whole team.

Cobras play Wallsend at home on Sunday.
