Cobras are tamed

Alnwick Town Cobras U9...1 Cramlington San Paulo U9...3

COBRAS entertained Cramlington on Sunday and, within minutes, they were caught cold with a quick goalmouth scramble to go 0-1 down.

They picked themselves up and were starting to play some good passing football.

Marco Makenley made a good run down the left then passed to Reece Graham to slot the ball into the net but he side-footed wide of the target. Cramlington had another attack and scored with the help of some bad defending (0-2).

The home side struggled to find their passing game and, again with some bad defending, Cramlington got their third (0-3).

Cobras grabbed a consolation goal with Cameron Atwell lobbing the keeper from 25 yards (1-3).

But they showed disappointingly poor passing, tackling, attitude and effort.

The team is like a yo-yo at the minute – one week up, the next week down.

They play Wideopen Comets in the semi-final of the Divisional Cup on Sunday and will have to be at their best to get anything out of the game.
