Blyth Spartans announce CFS as new kit and main sponsor

With the coronavirus epidemic continuing to spread uncertainty around the non-league game, Spartans received a major boost when the fabrication, engineering and maintenance specialists committed to becoming their new kit sponsors for the new season.

The partnership will also see the company become new main sponsors of the National League North club and their logo will have a prominent presence at Croft Park – as well as being displayed on Spartans new home and away kits.

Vice-chairman Scott expressed his appreciation that the company joined shirt sleeve sponsors SOS Group in throwing their support behind the club in their time of need.

He said: “We are extremely grateful for the commitment and support of a dynamic and progressive company such as CFS.

“This is testimony to the fact that a local company is prepared to invest in the future of the club and the town, especially in these unprecedented and uncertain times.

“We deeply appreciate the high-profile shirt sponsorship for the upcoming season and look forward to a successful relationship going forward, involving not only the club but local businesses and the community.

“We, along with our supporters. give Darren Carlisle, Ryan Smith, and the rest of the CFS team a warm Spartans welcome and look forward to seeing CFS alongside the Spartans badge on our famous new shirt.”

CFS managing director Darren Carlisle added: “We are absolutely delighted to become the main sponsor of Blyth Spartans.

“Football sits firmly at the heart of the community and we are pleased we can play our part in helping to support grassroots football here in Blyth.

“Blyth Spartans is a fantastic club with a great history and supported by a legion of loyal followers. This season is set to be an exciting one for the club and we are looking forward to supporting and cheering on Michael and the lads.”

Meanwhile, Spartans have confirmed that winger Adam Wrightson has left the club.

The former Gateshead player moved to Croft Park in 2016 and went on to score 13 goals in 131 goals for the club.

However, he will now leave after Spartans revealed that they had “reluctantly withdrawn” a contract offer they had made earlier this summer after a lack of contact from the player.
