A total of 11 Harriers took part in the Morpeth 11k on New Years Day, a race which saw age category prizes go to two of their contingent.

Adam Fletcher was once again first Harrier to finish as he has been for the last two runnings of this event, coming 25th in 40.52 to win second prize in the male 50 category.

Having his first race in a Harriers vest for a few months was Ross Anderson, who is battling his way back to fitness, finishing 38th.

Dominic Harris was next after a great battle with Ross, and also pipped Gary Hall which is a great achievement. Gareth Pearson had his first race for us, whilst slightly further down the field Mel Steer was the only female competitor.

Finally, well done to Mark Hume, who was first in the male 70 category!
