A talented teenage swimmer has impressed on her Team GB debut, winning a bronze medal and securing two personal bests (PBs).
Former Alnwick Dolphin Annalea Davison competed at the recent Tbilisi 2015 European Youth Olympic Festival, in Georgia.
The 14-year-old, who lives in Newcastle, secured a third-place finish in the 400m front crawl.
She also swam to an 800m freestyle PB of 8.59.03 and a 400m freestyle PB of 4.19.03.
Reflecting on her exploits, she said: “It went really well and I was pleased with how I did.”
Annalea was one of 16 swimmers to represent Team GB at the event, as part of a 44-strong squad across five sports.
The team was aged between 13 and 17 years old and the festival attracted around 2,400 competitors from 50 nations.
