Bamburgh Castle (215-5) v Manderston (164) and (213-4) v Ovingham (130-8)
Bamburgh had a double-header fixture at the weekend and defeated Manderston by 51 runs on Sunday and Ovingham by 83 runs on Monday using 21 players, with Johnny Roxburgh the only player to play twice.
On Sunday, Bamburgh were put into bat and made good progress.
Lawrence Reeves made 59 off 68 balls while Zoaib Khan added a very swift 64 off only 29 balls in a sixth-wicket unbeaten partnership of 85 runs in just nine overs. Johnny Roxburgh was unbeaten on 26.
In reply, the visitors made 164 all out off 34 overs. A Sim top-scored with 43, ably assisted by wicketkeeper Matty Taylor who posted an unbeaten 31. Best bowling for the Seasiders was Hamed Hassan with 5-39 off his eight overs.
On Bank Holiday Monday, Bamburgh entertained Ovingham and made 213-4 off their 40 overs.
Johnny Roxburgh scored 56 and debutant Tony Jackson an unbeaten 72 off only 51 balls. Ovingham used seven bowlers, but made little impact.
In reply, Ovingham lost two wickets in the first over and, thanks to stubborn resistance from Pete Wallbank (29) and P Pratik, who top-scored on 30, batted through their 40 overs to finish on 130-8.
