Tillside 1sts had a big 164-run win over Blyth in the Northumberland League Premier Division at the weekend.
The Etal side batted first and with Iain Sim hitting an unbeaten 98 off 57 balls, including 15 boundaries, they posted 246-7 in their 50 overs.
Mathew Whitty hit 43 and Toby Culham 33 with Gareth Hill on 27.
David Ebdale was Blyth’s most successful bowler with figures of 4-30.
In reply the visitors were all out for 82, with 30 of those coning as extras.
Jake Birkett took 3-28 with Liam Hindmarsh, Whittey and Jack MacDonald all claiming two apiece.
Warkworth’s Division 1 title hopes were boosted with a big 296 run win over Tynemouth 3rds.
Scott Gibson hit 80 and Michael Sewell 71, and with Chris Glass on 59 the managed to post an impressive 385-9, which included an incredible 100 extras. Don Catley took 2-102.
In reply Richard Warwick hit 46 on Tynemouth’s 89 total, with Martin Clark and Adam Hall claiming three wickets apiece.
Warenford’s promotion push in the second division continued with a big ten wicket home win over Bomarsund.
The visitors batted first, but they were all out for only 111 in 33 overs with Dan Robinson their top scorer on 27.
Bertie Spence took 3-16 and John Hogg 3-34.
In reply the Waren opening bats of Brian Thompson (57) and Dan Patterson (52) both carried their bats for half centuries as they coasted to victory.
In Division 3 Wooler had an 85-run victory over Monkseaton 3rds.
With Andrew Aitchison hitting 66 not out and opener Les Porteous on 45, the Glendale side posted 239-6 in their 40 overs.
Andrew Rees and Malcolm Anderson both claimed two wickets for the visitors, who in reply hit 154-7, with opener Gary Benns their top scorer on 42.
Aitchison took 3-23 and Angus Todd 3-26.
Also in Division 3, Tillside 2nds went down to a five wicket defeat at the hands of Gateshead EM.
Tillside batted first and got off to a decent start with Dave Reay on 32, Law Atkinson on 28 and Jamie Pick on 26.
But with tailender Hamish Miller the only other main contributor on 22, they finished on 164-8.
In reply Nasir Amir hit 53 and Jawed Qureshi 41 as GEMs hit 168-5, passing their target in the 34th over.
Kevin Logan and Jamie Pick claimed two wickets apiece.
Also in Division 3, Rock had a 24 run win over Alnmouth, Lesbury and Howick.
Rock batted first and made 174-7 with Kevin Wilson on 44 and Ben McDougall on 38. Oliver Tulip claimed 4-29 for Alnmouth, who in reply hit 150 all out, with Richard Elliott top scoring on 35.
Kevin Wilson took 4-41.
Embleton had a big ten wicket win over Ulgham, where Gary Davison hit the winning runs to complete his maiden century.
With Bobby Dodds top-scoring on 82, Ulgham put on 174 all out.
Hedley Grey and Davison claimed three wickets apiece for Embleton, who in reply made 175 without loss, with Davison hitting 100, and fellow opener Paul Carss a very supportive 64 as the pair carried their bats for a comfortable victory.
