Darren swings into action despite windy conditions


Rothbury’s Darren Arkle took the honours in the final Open Day of the season in the Kaims Country Park North Northumberland League on Saturday, over the testing Goswick course.

He returned the best gross and nett scores with 32 and 38 points respectively, on a day when the wind proved troublesome and the rough punishing for those straying from the fairways.
