Alnwick Cricket Club is marking its 175th anniversary with a special evening of celebration tomorrow.
The long-standing club was founded in 1837 and is the oldest in Northumberland. As part of the festivities, the new state-of-the-art scorebox will be unveiled by guest of honour and club stalwart Bobby Dodds.
The evening begins at 6.30pm with a friendly game between juniors and their parents and there will be a competition for the oldest cricket kit.
The celebrations are open to everyone, including supporters of the club past and present, and anyone with old photographs or memorabilia of the club should bring them along.
Food and bar available.
The event will go ahead whatever the weather.
