Young cricketers from Alnmouth and Lesbury have been well represented at junior county cricket festivals over the last week.
Four players, Nick Robertson, Olly Tulip, Cameron Thorpe and Tom Harrop played for the Northumberland U12s at the Suffolk Festival and played against Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cameight wickets.
A fifth player Archie Elder, was selected but was unavailable for the tour.
Will Stewart was the U11 county wicketkeeper on their tour to Suffolk and he capped an impressive personal performance, claiming a total of six victims in games against Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Fourteen-year-old Edward Brunton played in the county U14 county team who were runners-up at the Scarborough Festival.
After wins against London Schools, Durham and Lancashire, Northumberland were beaten by Yorkshire in the festival final on Friday by three wickets.
Edward put in a solid all-round performance during the week, taking a total of five wickets, three catches and averaging 26 with the bat.
Earlier in the season, Callum Batey (U17), Jonny Ridley (U17) and Ali Batey (U15) also played for Northumberland.
