With a dying southerly, sea conditions were again good for cod in Sunday’s competition.
Although there were some problems in places, with seaweed making fishing difficult, most anglers managed to weigh in.
The man on form, Willy Morton, won the match, his third win in a row, narrowly beating Anthony Gibbison. Willy had five cod for 16lb 14oz and Anthony had six cod for 16lb 6½oz.
Third was John Stephen with a good bag of five cod for 12lb 12½oz. Heaviest fish went to Steve Scott with a nice cod of 5lb 12½oz.
