Talented youngsters have been praised for their performances at a recent trampoline competition.
Alnwick’s Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre held the event on Saturday, putting children who attend trampoline classes at the venue through their paces.
Around 40 eager gymnasts, aged from six to 14, turned out for the contest and had their routines marked by the judges.
There were six categories in total, with the difficulty of each routine increasing by the category. The talented youngsters shone at the event and managed to execute their routines.
Coach Connall Brown said: “All of the children did brilliantly and I am really proud of them. Everyone performed extremely well.
“Each child was given a routine to do and they had three attempts to impress the judges.”
Connall has been coaching the trampoline sessions at Willowburn for about six years and is keen to promote the sport, which he believes is ‘not that well-known in Northumberland’.
