A large group of Harriers turned out for the latest of the 2013 Grand Prix races last Tuesday – the Morpeth 10k, held on a still, sunny evening.

Bruce Crombie ran well once again finishing a very good 16th overall and second in the male 40 category, just outside a pb.

Next home for the club was Dave Lowe, followed by Adam Spiller, who is starting to get his form back, and Jim Lillico, who took third place overall in his age category.

For the women, there was an amazing 10k debut for 15-year-old Harrier Rosie Murton. Rosie was sixth female overall in 41.35, followed by Diana Weightman, who won the female 50 category and Lisa Williams.

There were a number of debuts for some of Jane Hardy’s training group, many of whom used the race as a Great North Run training race.
