Boulmer battle to an impressive victory

Alnwick and Boulmer 33 Croftway 23

Alnwick and Boulmer played their final match of the season away to Croftway last Wednesday, and ended the season on a high with a well-deserved win.

In the first quarter, Boulmer had to work hard as they were a player down for the majority.

The pace of the game was fast, with possession quickly alternating between the two teams, though Boulmer showed little evidence of being phased by being outnumbered by their opposition. The home side showed great strength, winning the first quarter 8-7.

With a full team on court, Boulmer dominated possession in the second quarter and were unrelenting in attack, reaching half-time 18-12 ahead.

The defence’s tight marking meant Croftway found it extremely difficult to get a break in the game and compete with Boulmer’s goals. Boulmer won the third quarter 28-16.

In the final quarter, Boulmer continued to outplay their opponents. With a whole team effort, Boulmer extended their lead on Croftway and secured a fantastic victory.
