Summer holidays at Chatton

One day every week during the school summer holidays, Chatton Trout Fishery is providing introductory courses to fly fishing.

Each course lasts for two-and-a-half hours, one in the morning from 9.30am-noon and one in the afternoon from 1pm-3.30pm. The course is running on Tuesday, July 23, Tuesday 30, Tuesday, August 6, Tuesday 13, Wednesday 21, and Tuesday 27.

Anyone interested will have all tackle provided, tuition and can keep one fish. The cost will be £20.

Alison Brown said: “We thought it would be a good idea to get anyone who wished to give fly-fishing a try to come and have a taster session for as little as possible. It is our way of giving youngsters a chance to try a really enjoyable sport.”

Anyone wishing to attend should contact the Fishery on 01668 215226 to book a place. Numbers are restricted to four per session so booking is essential. Visit
