SEA conditions seemed to vary this week depending on where you were, although it seemed fairly calm there was a good swell running into some areas which would bring the chance of fish.

Most of what was caught came towards the end of the match and for those anglers prepared to brave the colder conditions would see them rewarded with fish.

Anthony Gibbison won the match with two cod and one flounder for 17lb 5oz, he also had the heaviest fish a really good conditioned cod of 10lb 13oz. Second was Steve McKee with one cod for 4lb 15oz and third was John Stephenson one cod 4lb 2½oz.

Other anglers weighing in were Kevin Donnelly one cod, one coalfish, 3lb 11½oz; Ian Hall, one cod, 2lb 5½oz.

Next week’s match is the marathon. Registration from 8.30am to 9am, fishing between 9.30am and 9.30pm.
