Alnwick Sea Angling Club
WITH yet another week of poor conditions for cod fishing, some anglers looking for a weigh-in fished the sandy beaches for whiting and flounder.
This was to prove the right decision for Steve Ayling, who won the match with five whiting for 2lb 1oz, only narrowly beating John Stephenson, who had one codling for 1lb 15oz, which was also the heaviest fish of the match.
Other anglers weighing in were Steve Scott, two coal fish, 1lb 12oz; Steve KcKee, two flounder, 14½oz.
