Alnwick pulled off their first win of the season to advance in the Northumberland County Rugby Cup.

The holders battled to a 20-13 success at Percy Park to go into the next round.

Coach Michael van Vuuren will hope to use it as a springboard to further success as his team are back at home this weekend when they host Cleckheaton in the Northern Division of Regional One North East.
