Alnwick record a Wallsend whitewash

Alnwick Bowling Club

Alnwick recorded their third win in the Northumberland Bowling Nines Division A with a whitewash over Wallsend.

The win, unfortunately, still keeps them in third-bottom place, but they are equal on points with two teams above.

There was no game in the Clegg with the Bell Cup being played on the same day.

Alnwick came third in their section behind Portland and Ponteland.

In the first of the TE Hall Sunday Triple play-offs, qualifiers were Carol Hume, Ann Daley and John Hume (s) and Yvonne Turner, George Turner and Dougie Miller (s).

The ladies had a good win in the Collins and Shipley League against Whitley and Monkseaton, picking up 10 of the 12 points available.
