North Northumberland Junior Golf League
Week Six of this season’s junior golf league has put Alnwick Castle firmly in top spot and created a gap between the rest of the field.
They have won all six of their matches home and away and look in excellent form and will be difficult to beat in the weeks ahead.
They kept the pressure up by winning away at Rothbury last week and have a lead of 13 points on Alnmouth (Foxton), who managed to share the points away at Goswick. Last year’s champions Linden Hall are finding it tough to keep up the pace, but still managed to win at home to Percy Wood.
This is the halfway point in the league and there will be many twists and turns to come before the champions are crowned.
