Latest results from Alnwick Harriers
First Harrier to complete the arduous 20 miler was Adam Fletcher. Adam crossed the line in the grounds of Wooler Youth Hostel in 3.35.33 to finish eighth overall and first in the male 50 category.
Also in the top 10 was Geoff Campbell, who bettered last years time by almost eight minutes. Also of note Dave and Maureen Bartrum knocked nearly an hour off their times from 2014!

Also that day there was the usual good number of Harriers in parkrun action at various events far and wide.
Closest to home it was a good day for the Kelly family as son Ben was second overall at Druridge Bay, whilst mother Karen was first female finisher!

Elsewhere, Dave Hindmarsh was third finisher, clocking 20.31 at the Beckton Parkrun in East London. Richard and Gay Eastoe won their age categories at Workington and Kirsty Steed took part at Durham.

The following day four Harriers took part in the Morrisons Great North 10k at Gateshead.
Results: 321-Andrew Shell 43.25, 1607-Gail Cuthbert 57.03; 2000-Emily Young 1.00.48; 2387-Ron McCormack 1.05.06.
Finally, back on Wednesday, seven Harriers were in action in the Tynedale 10k, held on a hot and sticky night. Dan Leng put in a great performance to finish the race in 37.35, 33rd of nearly 550 runners. It was good to see Dave Henderson pulling on the vest once again, whilst Dave Bartrum warmed up for the Chevy Chase!
