Week 10 of the league season saw a no holds barred match between the top two.
Amble went into the game one point ahead of Alnwick, and Alnwick needed to win the match by five shots to take the title.
In a hard fought contest Alnwick came out on top by taking all eight points and a shot score of 71-52.
The last time Alnwick won the league was in 1997, and since then they have been runners-up seven times – until this final game.
In the other matches, Wooler were at home to Seahouses and won 8-0 on a shot score of 89-36.
Lesbury visited Rothbury and gave last year’s winners a fight by taking two of the three rinks, and they only narrowly missed out on the bonus points.
The final score was Lesbury four, Rothbury four on a shots score of 58-63.
